Dr. Jolène Doucet helps children and adolescents (ages 6-16) navigate learning, behavioural, and socio-emotional concerns through comprehensive psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments. She has a particular interest in the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and learning disabilities.

In addition to her assessment practice, Dr. Doucet supports adolescents and young adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, low-mood, and adjustment difficulties. Drawing on research evidence to guide her practice, she utilizes behavioural therapy (CBT) as a foundation, while also incorporating other evidence-based treatments like acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to best meet each client’s unique goals and preferences. Fluent in both French and English, she is committed to providing culturally sensitive services.

Dr. Doucet's roots are in New Brunswick, where she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Université de Moncton. Her clinical training spanned a variety of settings, including community, schools, and private practice. Following her pre-doctoral residency in Halifax, Dr. Doucet felt a strong connection to the city's vibrant community, choosing it as her permanent home. Outside of her clinical practice, she finds balance by exploring Nova Scotia’s coastal landscapes, venturing to new destinations, and enjoying quiet moments at home with her beloved senior cat.
