Jennifer Goguen is an Occupational Therapist who has been practicing for 20 years, graduating from the University of Alberta in 2003. Jennifer has worked both in Alberta and Nova Scotia across a variety of settings – including the hospital, home care/community, schools, homes, private clinics and schools.
As an OT, Jennifer focuses on the goals of the individual and the family, providing appropriate assessments with an individualized intervention plan for pre-school age children to young adults. She visits homes, schools, daycares and clinical settings to help adapt and modify the environment to meet her clients needs, and to help increase their function. Providing support to the child’s parents, caregivers and teachers is a major focus of her services.
Jennifer has experience in a variety of areas, including fine motor skills, sensory processing and regulation, attention issues and Primitive Reflexes. She loves coaching and consulting with the families to work on a wide range of individualized goals. Collaborating with other professionals is important in providing appropriate intervention to her families.
