Darean attended undergraduate studies at Mount Saint Vincent University (BSc. Honours Psychology) and recently earned her graduate certificate in Behavioural Interventions from NSCC.  In addition to her role on the Behaviour Team at Affinity Group, Darean serves as the Respite Support Coordinator for Autism Nova Scotia, where she engages with families throughout Central Nova Scotia to assess their support needs and facilitate connections with independent respite providers.

Drawing from her foundational studies and three years of applied experience supporting families and individuals with diverse needs, Darean is committed to offering true person-directed support. She is comfortable working alongside individuals of all ages and life stages—Always striving to create the most safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment possible for those she supports.

Originally from the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Darean is familiar with both English and French. In her free time, she enjoys exploring unique recipes, trying out new sports, and spending time with her husband and pets.
